How to Password Protect files with WinRAR

WinRAR is a lightweight, flexible, and easy-to-use archiving utility that can unpack most archive formats, as well as compress to both RAR and ZIP. WinRAR helps to compress the heavy files into small which helps to reduce the file size. With WinRAR, both creating and unpacking archives is blazingly fast.

Follow the given procedure to protect your files with password in WinRAR.  

1) Right click on the file in which you want to set the password.

2) Click on "Add to Archive".
3) Then go to Advanced tab and Click on set password.
4) choose any password and Click ok.
5) A winrar file with your filename will be created.
6) Now you can delete the original file,as you now have compressed it with a password.

Anyone trying to open the rar file won't be able to view the file without the password.
